Shifts description (2023 version)

EVERYONE must be present on Saturday Sept the 2nd in the afternoon/evening at the camp to help disassembling. We can’t stress this enough. Organize your agenda in a way that you can be available from 4pm to 8pm on Saturday. It doesn’t matter what you have contributed before, EVERYONE must chip in and help on Saturday.

Ice (Before 1pm)

Daily ice pick up for the camp bar. You should do this in this order:

• [ ] Calculate the number of ice bags that need to be bought
  • [ ] The ice bags needed for the camp depending on existing ones and how much you need to fill the coolers. An Ice Cart will be provided
  • [ ] Optional: Get ice bags for other camp mates. They should tell you, otherwise, ask around checking if someone wants ice bags for personal use. The camp doesn’t pay for these ice bags though.
• [ ] Empty the camp coolers from melted water the grey water container
• [ ] Get cash or a credit card (they accept them since 2022)
• [ ] Use the ice cart to pick up the ice bags from Arctica, address will be provided.
• [ ] Put the new ice in the camp coolers only after draining the melted water in the cooler.
• [ ] Write how much you spent for the camp ice bags in the sheet that will be stuck in the truck wall.

Cleaning (Before 1pm)

Daily cleaning of the common areas of the camp. You should:

• Solar panels on top of the truck:
  • [ ] Clean the solar panels on top of the moop and the cloth
• Casino:
  • [ ] Pick up any trash (leftover cups, glasses, debris…) casino
  • [ ] Clean the bar
  • [ ] Turn off the electric candles. Some have a switch below, others work with a remote that should be near the casino bar.
  • [ ] Review that everything is in order
  • [ ] Pickup any MOOP from the ground. This is very important. The BM org will do inspections and check for MOOP.
  • [ ] Check the different trash containers and replace the bags with new ones if they are going to be full within the next day. Store the full trash bags under the truck.
  • [ ] Clean the top of surfaces (tables, coffee tables, side tables, black jack table, …) with baby wipes
  • [ ] Look around you, is there anything you can do to improve what you see?
• Kitchen and common areas:
  • [ ] Pick up any trash (leftover cups, glasses, debris…)
  • [ ] Kitchen tables MUST be left empty. If there are things left, trash them or place them in the “Need a daddy box”
  • [ ] Clean the kitchen table with baby wipes
  • [ ] Review that the kitchen is tidy and in order
  • [ ] Pickup any MOOP from the ground. This is very important. The BM org will do inspections and check for MOOP.
  • [ ] Check the different trash containers and replace the bags with new ones if they are going to be full within the next day. Store the full trash bags under the truck.
  • [ ] Look around you, is there anything you can do to improve what you see?

Trash bag types:

• Transparent bags are for aluminum cans.
• Blue bags are for recyclables.
• Black bags are for trash.
